Elina
Born Elena Rocca in 1906, she later married Alex Noce. They had
a son named Bruno. Elina appears in many photographs from Bruno's
Pian dei Manzi private collection. Elina grew up with her friend
Maddalena Rocca, mother of Bruno's wife Lugiana.

Elina
and Maddalena
Lifetime
friends and dressed in their favorite lilly print dresses with matching
lilly white shoes. Their white gloves must be at home so they had
to hide their hands in their pockets? These two also use walking
sticks. Both are buried at the Coreglia cemetery.

Ester
Rocca (Quierolo)
Ester
Rocca is another sister of my great grandmother Elisa Rocca. Unlike
the other Rocca's, Ester and Elisa emmigrated from Pian dei Manzi,
Italy to Staten Island, New York. They, two sisters eventually married
two twin brothers (Louie and Broggio) Quierolo and settled on the
northwest coast of America.

No
fertilizer required. Think the Pacific Northwest can grow green
stuff everywhere you look. The northwest coast of Italy can grow
more,
its totally out of control.
